“In another universe, I harvest instead of hustle, but even there, I STILL need God.”
-E. H Abraham
In an alternate universe, I wake up every morning to the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs outside my seaside cottage in Cape Town. The sun peeks through sheer white curtains as I stretch, barefoot, into a day that holds no chaos, no deadlines, only purpose and peace.
In this universe, I’m not juggling a dozen roles. I’m not questioning if I’m doing enough or if I’m too much. Here, I am whole. I run a small wellness and writing retreat for women where every guest is reminded that healing is not a luxury, but a necessity.
Instead of racing to meet the expectations of the world, I spend my mornings teaching journaling workshops under the olive trees and my afternoons sipping tea with women who have forgotten how to dream. Together, we write ourselves back to life.
There is no pressure to perform, only permission to be.
In this universe, I never doubted my voice. I never silenced my story. I published my first book at 19, not 39. I spoke on stages, not from a place of ambition, but from a place of sacred assignment.
My children run barefoot in the garden, fluent in three languages, and utterly free. My partner is a man of prayer and poetry, a quiet storm who believes in miracles as much as I do.
We are not rich, not by the world’s standards, but we live abundantly. There is music, there is laughter, there is deep rest. There is rhythm.
I don’t hustle. I harvest.
But even in this perfect parallel, I carry one thing from the world I came from, my faith. In every universe, I would still need God. I would still crave His whispers in the stillness. I would still fall apart and find Him in the pieces.
Because maybe the beauty of this alternate world isn’t that it’s perfect, but that it reminds me what’s possible. What’s already inside me. What I can slowly build in this life, one sacred yes at a time.
And you?
What would your alternate universe look like? Would you change the world, or just finally change yours?
Let yourself imagine. And then, perhaps, let yourself begin.
“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.” – Psalm 91:7
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are moments when it seems like the pressures are closing in from every direction, left, right, forward, and backward. You may feel surrounded by battles, enemies, or invisible forces clothed in black. But here’s the truth: the Word of God is unshakable.
God has promised that even though thousands may gather against you, they will not prevail. Whatever schemes the enemy tries, they cannot stand.
1. God’s Promise Still Stands
Psalm 91 isn’t just poetry, it’s a covenant of protection. God reminds us that though the enemy comes in like a flood, His Spirit raises a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).
You are not outnumbered, no matter how many rise against you. One with God is the majority.
2. God Is With You in the Valley
Sometimes the valley feels dark, but Psalm 23 gives us confidence: “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me.”
Shadows cannot kill. Storms cannot drown you. Attacks cannot consume you. Why? Because the Shepherd is right there, guiding and comforting you.
3. Victory Belongs to You
Here’s a secret the Lord revealed to me during my own spiritual battles: The enemy’s greatest weapon is fear.
Fear makes you forget God’s presence. Fear weakens faith. But the moment you let go of fear and hold onto faith, the enemy loses his grip.
Victory starts in the mind. When you know deep inside that God has already secured your future, the enemy trembles, because he knows he’s fighting a losing battle.
4. God Prepares a Table Before You
Psalm 23:5 says: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.”
This means God doesn’t always remove your enemies; sometimes He blesses you right in front of them. Your testimony becomes a message all by itself.
A Word of Encouragement
If you are in a season where the battles feel intense, take heart. The intensity means you are close to victory. The enemy is throwing all he has at you because he knows your breakthrough is near.
So don’t give up now. Don’t let fear steal your faith. Stand firm in God’s promises.
Declaration Prayer
“Father, I thank You that though a thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, it shall not come near me. I renounce fear and embrace faith. I declare that every plan of the enemy is destroyed and that I walk in victory, peace, and divine protection. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
“I trust that God doesn’t make mistakes. That even in my weakness, He strengthens me for the task” .

Did My Children Choose Me? A Mother’s Wondering of Heaven’s Design.
There are moments in motherhood when the questions get quieter, but deeper.
Not about nappies, routines, or sleep schedules… But about eternity. About destiny. About the sacred mystery of it all.
Lately, I’ve been sitting with one such question: Did my children choose me before they came to earth?
It may sound strange. But if you’re a woman of faith, or simply a mother with a spiritual heart, you’ve probably felt something similar. A knowing. A sense that there’s more to motherhood than biology or coincidence.
Is it possible that, before the foundations of the world were laid, my children knew me? That they whispered a yes in heaven and trusted me with their lives? Even with my flaws, fears, and fragile humanity?
Or perhaps it was God who chose. The same God who spoke in Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you…”
What a breathtaking thought. He knew us before the womb ever did.
That means our children were known long before they were conceived. They were sanctified, set apart. Not just as babies, but as assignments. As gifts. As heaven’s intentions wrapped in human form.
So maybe the question isn’t just whether they chose us… Maybe it’s also: Whom did God choose us for?
Wrestling with the Harder Question.
Of course, this leads to a more painful thought. If God knows us before the womb, If every child is seen, formed, and sanctified in His plan, Then why are some born into such darkness?
Why are so many babies placed in the hands of abusers, rapists, or neglectful parents? Why do some children grow up never knowing love, never knowing safety?
It hurts to even ask. And while I don’t have all the answers, I do believe this:
This brokenness was never God’s intention.
He gives the gift of life, but human will, sin, and spiritual warfare shape what happens in the earthly realm. Still, He doesn’t abandon the child. Even in the deepest trauma, He works for their good, raising up people, moments, and miracles to rewrite their stories.
Sometimes, children born into pain grow into warriors of healing. They become the ones who break generational curses. They speak up. They rise. They mother differently.
So even when the story begins in sorrow, God can still bring it into purpose.
Chosen to Be Their Mother.
And then, I look at my own children. Each so unique. Each with a different fire in their eyes. Each with a purpose that feels bigger than me.
Why me, Lord?
I’m not the perfect mum. I get tired. I make mistakes. I cry behind closed doors and wonder if I’m giving them enough. If I AM enough.
And yet… they came. They were assigned to me. In all my humanity, they still found their way to my womb. And somehow, we fit.
I don’t think that’s an accident. I believe God looks at a woman’s life, her history, her pain, her heart and says: “This one. She will shape that child in the way no one else could.”
And perhaps, even in eternity, their tiny souls whispered yes: “I choose her. I trust her. I’ll grow inside her story.”
For the Women Still Waiting,
If you are a woman reading this and you’re still waiting for children of your own, Whether through birth, adoption, or another sacred path, Know this:
God has not forgotten you.
He is the Author of life. He is the One who forms children and calls mothers. And He still writes beautiful stories.
Perhaps the child coming to you will be one who needs a redemption arc. A child chosen by God to be planted in your healing, your love, your arms.
Or perhaps God is using your current season to mother through mentorship, love, teaching, or spiritual covering. Motherhood is not always biological. It is deeply spiritual.
I may never fully know if my children chose me, But I know the One who chose them. And I trust Him.
I trust that He doesn’t make mistakes. That even in my weakness, He strengthens me for the task. And that in the eyes of heaven, this motherhood journey is a sacred assignment.
So I will continue to raise them with reverence. With prayer. With purpose. And with a humble heart that says: “Thank You, God… for choosing me.”
Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”
Psalm 139:13–16 – “You knit me together in my mother’s womb… all the days ordained for me were written in your book.”
Isaiah 49:1 – “Before I was born the Lord called me…”
Comment below on your personal journey in motherhood.
Your ‘inner room’, your intimacy with Him, is the foundation for everything else.
There’s a process God often takes His people through before He elevates them to their next assignment. It’s a season that combines preparation, discernment, and divine protection. Many people miss their moment of promotion because they underestimate the importance of what happens in the hidden place.
Today, I want to talk about what God does behind the scenes before He brings you into public influence, and why protecting your “private room” is just as important as stepping into your “public platform.”
1. Mercy Before Favour
God’s heart is for mercy before favour. Before He blesses someone, He extends grace and compassion, even to those who are far from Him.
Sometimes, God will put a burden in your heart to pray for others, even those from backgrounds or cultures different from your own. You may not understand why, but this intercession is part of His Kingdom agenda. Your prayers can become the very bridge that brings them to encounter God’s kindness.
Romans 2:4 says “God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance.”
2. Guard Your Inner Room
In the Bible, the “inner room” or “secret place” represents intimacy with God, your private spiritual life that no one sees.
God often enlarges this “room” before He expands your public influence. Why? Because your public platform will only be as stable as your private foundation. If your inner life is disordered, your outer life will eventually crumble.
Protect this space. Be careful who you let in. Not everyone is meant to see your deepest walk with God. Some will honour it, others will misunderstand it.
Matthew 6:6 says “When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father…”
3. Discernment Protects Destiny
Not everything that looks ready is actually prepared by God. Some things are seasoned to look appealing but are still “raw” in the spirit, dangerous to partake of too soon.
Discernment is your shield. It will protect you from people, opportunities, and situations that seem good on the surface but are not aligned with God’s timing or purity.
Hebrews 5:14 says “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”
4. Cross-Cultural Kingdom Work
God’s Kingdom is a multi-coloured, multi-cultural family. He delights in bringing people from every background together under His covering.
Sometimes, your role will be to help “clothe” someone in the identity of God’s family, to make the outsider feel like they belong at the celebration. This can happen through acts of kindness, mentorship, cultural exchange, or simply showing love without conditions.
Isaiah 61:10 says “He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.”
5. Favour and Fragrance
When God promotes you, He also adorns you with His fragrance. This is the kind of favour that attracts hearts without you having to strive for attention.
Just as a pleasant fragrance fills a room, God’s presence in your life will naturally draw people to Him through you. This is why preparation matters, so that when the door opens, you’re not just ready in skill, but in spirit.
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 says “…through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.”
If you’re in a season where God seems to be working more on your private life than your public one, don’t be discouraged. He is building capacity in your inner room so you can carry the weight of what’s coming next.
Keep praying for others, mercy before favour.
Guard your secret place fiercely.
Sharpen your discernment.
Embrace the beauty of cross-cultural Kingdom work.
Let God clothe you in His fragrance before the platform comes.
When God opens the next door, you won’t just walk in, you’ll walk in prepared, protected, and carrying His presence.
Even the Crumbs Are Enough – A Lesson in Humility and Unoffendable Faith
Have you ever felt like an outsider? Like the help you needed wasn’t meant for you?Like you weren’t qualified enough, holy enough, or maybe not even “chosen” enough to receive a breakthrough?
There’s a story in the Gospels that challenges every notion of pride, entitlement, and offense. It’s the account of a woman, a Gentile, a Canaanite, a foreigner, who dared to approach Jesus.
She had one desperate request: “Lord, have mercy on me! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.”
But Jesus did not answer her at first. And when He finally did respond, His words were sharp: “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
Now pause with me here.
If it were you, how would you respond?
Most of us would’ve walked away offended. How could the Savior, the One known for His compassion, call her a dog?
But this woman… oh, this woman had a different spirit. She didn’t allow offense to blind her. She didn’t argue or defend her dignity.
Instead, she responded with something more powerful than pride:
“Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”
Incredible.
She wasn’t insulted. She was focused. She knew what she needed. And she knew who had the power to give it. And even if all she could get was a crumb, that crumb was still enough.
And Jesus? He marveled at her response.
“O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
What’s the Lesson for Us?
Sometimes, we miss out on breakthroughs not because God said no, but because offense made us walk away too soon.
This woman teaches us that humility can unlock what pride never will. She teaches us that being unoffendable is a mark of true faith.
She didn’t argue about fairness. She didn’t let cultural labels stop her. She didn’t let silence from Jesus discourage her. She kept pursuing.
She wasn’t there to be seen, she was there to receive.
So today, I encourage you, stay humble. Stay hungry. Stay focused.
Don’t let offense rob you of your miracle.
Don’t let what people say, or even what you feel, stop you from holding on to Jesus.
If all you have left is the crumbs… go after them with boldness. Because even the crumbs from Heaven carry power.
Jesus honors faith, especially the kind that won’t let go.
With love and intention,
Harmonie 💖
Prayer
Lord, give me the heart of the Canaanite woman. A heart that refuses to be offended, a heart that stays humble and full of faith, even when the answer feels delayed or the door feels closed.
Help me keep my eyes on You, knowing that even a crumb from You is enough to heal, to restore, and to make whole.
Amen.

When You Feel Stuck Mid-journey (Like That Escalator)
“You’re not broken. You’re just being recalibrated by the One who never stops working behind the scenes.”
-E. H Abraham
I read a news story today that, honestly, most people would scroll right past. An escalator in a Nottingham shopping centre broke down and stopped mid-motion.
No injuries. No drama. Just… stuck. People had to walk around it. Some huffed. Others shrugged. Maintenance was called. They fixed it. End of story.
But for some reason, I couldn’t stop thinking about that escalator.
Because I’ve felt like her. And maybe you have too.
You were rising, in purpose, in motherhood, in calling, in business, in healing. You had momentum. But then, something shifted.
You didn’t crash. You didn’t collapse. You just… stalled.
And the world, much like that shopping centre, kept moving. People passed by. Life went on. But there you were, mid-step, mid-project, mid-promise, wondering, What happened to my flow?
As women, especially women of faith, we carry so much. We climb with bags full of dreams, diapers, deadlines, devotionals, and silent prayers. So when we pause, when our rhythm breaks, we don’t always give ourselves permission to breathe.
But God does.
He doesn’t mock the pause. He enters it.
Sometimes, He allows the “stuck” to become sacred. A moment to reset. To be reminded: You’re not broken. You’re being recalibrated.
Even escalators need maintenance. And so do we, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically.
If you feel like your life has paused mid-journey, hear this: God has not forgotten you. You are still called. Still chosen. Still rising.
Let Him do the inner work. Let the Holy Spirit come in like divine maintenance. And when it’s time, you’ll move again, with fresh oil and restored strength.
Jesus and three disciple at The Mountain of Transfiguration
Some moments in life leave you breathless. Moments where heaven feels near, and everything inside you knows… God is here.
The Bible tells us about one of those moments. It’s called the Mountain of Transfiguration. Though it happened over 2,000 years ago, its meaning is just as powerful today.
One day, Jesus invited three of His disciples, Peter, James, and John to follow Him up a high mountain. He didn’t tell them why. He didn’t give them a plan. He just said, “Come with Me.”
Mountains in Scripture are not just landscapes. They are places of encounter. Think about Mount Sinai, where God gave the Ten Commandments. Mount Carmel, where God answered Elijah with fire. And now, this mountain, chosen for something extraordinary.
When they reached the top, everything changed. The Bible says Jesus’ face shone like the sun. His clothes became dazzling white, purer than anything on earth could make them.
Then, two figures appeared: Moses and Elijah. Moses represented God’s Law. Elijah represented the Prophets. And both stood with Jesus, because He is the fulfilment of everything God has ever promised.
Luke’s Gospel tells us they spoke about Jesus’ upcoming death and resurrection. Even in the middle of this breathtaking display of glory, the focus was still on the mission, the cross that was coming.
Peter, overwhelmed, blurted out, “Lord, it’s good for us to be here. Let’s build three shelters…” In other words, “Let’s stay here forever.”
And honestly, we understand that. When you experience God’s presence in a powerful way, in prayer, in worship, in a breakthrough moment… you want to hold on to it.
But here’s the truth: God doesn’t give us mountaintop moments so we can camp there forever. He gives them so we can be strengthened for the valleys ahead.
The Father’s Voice
Suddenly, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice came from the cloud saying:
“This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him.”
Not “look at Him.” Not “admire Him.” Listen to Him.
It’s possible to be impressed by Jesus and still not follow what He says. The Father’s message was clear. Discipleship means listening and obeying.
The disciples fell to the ground in fear. Then Jesus touched them and said, “Get up. Don’t be afraid.” When they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone.
Only Jesus remained.
And that’s the point. In the end, it’s always about Him. Not the experience, not the moment, not the people around you…. just Jesus.
What It Means for Us Today:
The Mountain of Transfiguration isn’t just a story about glory, it’s a lesson for daily life.
See Jesus as He truly is. He’s more than a teacher or miracle worker. He is the radiant Son of God.
Listen to Him. His voice should be louder than fear, doubt, or the crowd.
Carry the mountain into the valley. What you see in God’s presence is meant to fuel how you live when life gets ordinary or hard.
Whether you feel like you’re on a mountaintop or in a deep valley today, the same Jesus who shone in glory is walking with you right now.
Maybe God has given you a glimpse of His presence recently, in prayer, through His Word, in a worship moment or even in a dream. Don’t just admire it. Let it transform how you live.
Because the God who met Peter, James, and John on that mountain… is the same God who wants to walk with you in your everyday life.

“You may carry many layers, but none of them are wasted. Every part of you is being woven into purpose. You are not too much. You are becoming everything God created you to be.”
-E. H Abraham
When I first sat down to create Harmonie Blogs, I didn’t just want to share thoughts. I wanted to create impact. Not the loud, world-shaking kind that makes headlines – although if that happens, praise God! But the quiet, consistent kind. The kind that changes one life, one woman, one heart at a time.
This blog was birthed with a desire to be a voice of hope and light, especially for women navigating seasons of loneliness, confusion, burnout, or simply seeking deeper purpose. My hope is that every time a woman stumbles upon one of my posts, whether it’s about prayer, purpose, motherhood, dreams, or healing, she walks away feeling seen, stirred, and strengthened.
Here’s the change I want to see through this blog:
🌱 1. I want women to believe again.
To believe in God’s plan. To believe that their story still matters. To believe that it’s not too late to start again.
🔥 2. I want to fan the flame of forgotten dreams.
So many women are silently carrying buried passions, suffocated by responsibilities and expectations. I want to stir the fire again. To whisper: “You were made for more, and it’s not too late.”
🕊️ 3. I want to create a safe, faith-filled space.
A space where tears are welcomed, laughter is healing, and God’s truth is gently spoken. A place where we can talk about real struggles, marriage, motherhood, identity, mental battles, without judgment or fear.
💡 4. I want to shift mindsets from survival to significance.
It’s not just about waking up and making it through the day. You were created with intention. You’re not here just to exist. You’re here to impact.
So whether this blog reaches ten people or ten thousand, I pray it brings change – not through perfect words, but through truth, love, and divine timing.
Because one inspired woman can shift her entire household. One praying mother can change generations. One bold step can start a movement.
And it can all begin here, with one blog post at a time.
If you’ve felt encouraged today, I’d love for you to share this post or leave a comment below. Let’s start the change together.

There’s a quiet heartbreak that many content creators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries carry the pain of being unseen by the people closest to you.
It’s something I recently experienced again with my blog.
Every time I write, I pour in my heart, my time, my prayers. I write with women in mind, the ones who are seeking hope, direction, healing, or just a moment of peace with God. And yet, when I share these words with family, friends, people I’ve laughed with and prayed with, there’s often silence.
No clicks. No reads. No reactions.
Jetpack, the tracking tool I use, shows me the truth: It’s the strangers, the unknown faces on Facebook or random visitors from other countries who are actually reading my words.
And sometimes that… hurts.
Because deep down, we all hope that our loved ones will be our biggest supporters. But the truth is, sometimes they aren’t.
It’s not about numbers. It’s not even about validation. It’s about the emotional ache of feeling overlooked by people who know your story, your sacrifices, your dreams. You think, “If they really cared… wouldn’t they at least click?”
But here’s the uncomfortable truth I had to face: Familiarity can make people blind to your calling.
They’ve seen you grow up. They’ve seen your flaws. So sometimes, they can’t reconcile the version of you they know with the version of you God is raising.
💭Why Strangers Often See You First
1. Strangers don’t carry bias.
They don’t compare you to who you used to be. They meet you as you are today.
2. God sometimes hides you on purpose.
Not everyone is meant to see the early stages of your anointing. He reveals you to the ones who will receive you, not resist you.
3. Your assignment isn’t always for your circle.
Sometimes the people you’re called to impact are out there, not right here. And that’s okay. Jesus said a prophet is not without honour, except in their own hometown.
💡My Decision: Releasing and Refocusing
So I’ve decided: I’m no longer posting my blog on WhatsApp, hoping for support from people who may never engage. I’m shifting my energy to build real connections with the people who are showing up, the ones reading, commenting, subscribing, and being impacted.
Not out of spite, but out of wisdom. Not from offense, but from clarity.
🙏🏽A Word for You
If you’re reading this and nodding through tears, I want to encourage you:
Don’t stop. Don’t shrink. Don’t wait for applause from a room God never assigned to you.
Keep writing. Keep building. Keep showing up for the strangers, because they might just become your strongest community.
And one day, those same friends and family may come around. And if they do welcome them with grace, but don’t let their timing dictate your movement.
You’ve got something powerful inside you. Let God decide who sees it and when.
You are seen. You are called. And your voice matters, even if they don’t click.
